Trying to figure out my college list. Help please!

Hey all!

I am an incoming HS senior from Michigan with the following stats:

35 ACT
-36 reading
-35 science and English
-33 Math

3.57 GPA with 7 APs taken

ECs:
Pres of Muslim Student Association
Pres and Founder of Aerospace Engineering Club (participated in UMich, MIT, and Stanford sponsored competition)
DECA
Rotary Interact (Volunteering Club)
Stocks Club (competed in nationwide competitions)

Since there is such a discrepancy between the level of my GPA and ACT scores I am in a tough spot. I know that I probably can’t get into a lot of the nation’s top schools :frowning: .

Right now I am looking @ U Mich, Michigan State, NYU, Brandeis, and a few others but I need to add more reasonable colleges to this list. I would really like to go the pre-med route.
.
Location doesn’t matter too much, but an urban campus is much more appealing than one in the middle of nowhere.

Tuition isn’t a huge deal, thankfully my parents are doing well enough to support me @ a sub $40,000 a year institution.

If anyone has some useful suggestions on where to apply this upcoming fall help me out please!

7 APs by end of junior year is very impressive. 3.57 is a problem but do you go to a top school and what is your class rank? Are you 1st generation or did your parents come to the US from another country? My observation is less about your GPA and more about a rather confusing list of ECs. Admissions officers need to understand what you are about and what your goals are. Aerospace, Muslim, stocks, pre-med. Objectively, does this list make sense to you?

@Wje9164be My high school is ranked in the top 20 within my state and does not publish class ranks so I cannot know mine. Do you think the wide variety of ECs will be an obstacle in getting admitted to an ideal college? I chose to become a member of those ECs because I am genuinely interested in all of them. I would have joined a medical/future doc club if it one was available at my school. I am currently shadowing a Doctor at my local hospital and am in the process of finishing up a medical research project. I hope this can show the admissions officers that I am focused on the pre-med route.
