Hey to all. I’m currently applying to Baruch. My educational history is quite…scattered. I left one college after bad grades. Attended two CCs within the same system to help fulfill requirements and earned an Associate’s, graduating with a 2.75. Could’ve done better but it was a definite improvement over my previous school, I retook several courses after struggling with a few and also made some boneheaded decisions with classes, all my fault of course.
I’m currently at a 4 years institution, just finished my first semester here (2.75, not what I hoped for but I am looking to improve as I don’t want to be upper 2s my whole college career) and my overall GPA from the institutions that I’ve attended to earn my Associate’s and my current school is a 2.98. My major GPA is 2.95. I currently have a total of 82 credits so I would also be close to the overall transfer limit (90). I know that Baruch looks at ALL grades acquired, including retakes even if they wouldn’t transfer over.
To get to the point, do I even stand a chance? I’m already preparing myself for a rejection letter because I know I’m not the ideal student but I’ve been wanting to attend Baruch for a long time, I would love to learn what I need to know within that environment and I’ve done better in my Accounting related courses. I also wrote an essay but who knows if those ever do much. Feedback is appreciated.
