Hi everyone. I’m having trouble choosing between two internship opportunities I have this summer- one is a paid internship for hands-on research at Salk Institute, and the other would be as a student researcher under a professor is also very well-known in his field and I would get a chance to directly work on a research project with other scientists in his lab. I’m equally interested in both, so, for those of you who have experience interning at Salk, how was it? Also, which one would might look better on a college app?
Have you been offered both? If not, apply for both ASAP and see what you get.
The competition may be stiffer than you realize; don’t limit your choices until you get offers.
If you are equally interested in both and one is paid, I think the choice is obvious. Go for the money.
Did you choose one? If you did, how was it?
I’m hoping to gain insight about someone’s experience at Salk, both the application and the internship. Do you have any tips for the application?
