I am researching Tufts as a last minute semi reach school to add to my college List. Do they get consulting/IB recruiters? Are Tufts grads well represented on Wall Street? Would coming from a school like Tufts assist in the admissions process for B-Schools? They don't have business but how is their Econ department? I know they're not an Ivy League institution but they are pretty close so I would expect some financial firms, maybe not the most popular, but still some reputable companies to take interviews/resumes from Tufts Grads? Or is it just not a target school and one would be better at an LAC like Williams, Colgate, or Bowdoin?

Goldman Sachs and others do recruit at Tufts. I can't give you an exact list as I am personally not interested in the field (I am a senior IR & English major). However, I can tell you that the Econ major is very strong as I have had to take four classes in the dept. for my IR (Intl. Relations) major. It is also one of the most popular majors here. I have many Econ major friends who've landed jobs and/or internships at Deutsche, Credit Suisse, Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, etc.

I should've added in my original reply that Tufts is certainly not as heavily recruited as, say, Penn or Harvard, or any school that has an undergraduate and/or graduate business school, but I'd say recruiting is pretty good for a school with no business degree! More and more banks and the like are interested in well-rounded students with liberal arts backgrounds -- Tufts will certainly give you that. Good luck!
