As far as I can remember, there was no warning or head’s up email when ED2 results came out. I remember feeling very surprised. They sent an email saying decisions are now available online… on a Friday…
same thing for ED1. I got an email around 3PM saying decisions were posted with no warning
^ This is all quite scary.
The same thing happened to me with a previous school a few weeks ago. I was not expecting that decision for a while.
That just happened to me about two seconds ago. I went onto the Bucknell forum to lurk until decisions were posted and it turns out decisions were posted half an hour ago. Also happened to me with Santa Clara last week.
Edit: And again with University of Michigan. Not so great news though. Goddamn waitlists.
From what the ED guys said I think it might be safe to assume that the results might be out on the 27th…
@BrooklynRye Tufts doesn’t do 24 hours notice. Dan posted something about it awhile back somewhere, but in the past when they would set a specific time for decisions to come out, people would all just go to the page and refresh and refresh and their servers would crash. So now they just email you at the exact moment that decisions are available. Weird that Tufts doesn’t have better servers, but… yeah. There’s still hope for results tomorrow.
How do we find out?
@PDubs1029 They’ll email when decisions are posted, or you can just log in to the TAMS portal periodically and check.
Crashing servers I understand. W&M does not subscribe to IDOC. They don’t accept emails containing financial documents because their printer “gets all screwy” trying to print pdf docs. You can fax it to them, but their fax gets overloaded pretty easily and there is no guarantee they will receive all the pages. So, in the end, you can copy the 10’s of pages you need to submit, and send them in the mail. Do they use an abacus to calculate your aid package?
I’m just waiting on Tufts and JHU at this point, and JHU is coming out today. So if Tufts comes out today, this entire chapter of my college journey will end. :’)
(And then comes a very difficult page turn where I will choose which one to attend)
@TheOtterOne - what other schools are you considering? Do you have a first choice?
I got a (minor) concussion yesterday so I’m seriously in need of some good news from Tufts.
if the decisions are released today at what time does everyone think? 2 or 3?
@Backshe9 -I think the assumption is that they will be posted at 3 today
It says on their admissions blog page that Tufts will release decisions early next week.
@garden3 Can you post a link to it?
@Anduar3 The post itself isn’t loading for me, but it’s the blurb for the first post, “Selectivity”: http://admissions.tufts.edu/blogs/inside-admissions/
Argh it won’t load for me either. Next week, Argh!
@redpoodles If you search online there is a very similar article from last year, also tilted Selectivity. I just read that while waiting for today’s post to be fixed.
