Accepted to Amherst today too!! Now just waiting on tufts and the ivys
@hhiiiiiiii Congratulations!!
really scared that I won’t get in!!! I have a 2100 and 3.7 GPA and haven’t gotten in anywhere else–been denied at northwestern, washu, penn, ucla, ucsd, berkeley, davis, and santa barbara. things are not looking good
I am terrified of now getting in as well @aa5535 . Got rejected from Colgate, Vassar and Trinity, and wait-listed at Connecticut College, but I got into NYU Abu Dhabi, so that’s good.
I’m a full need international student, and I am afraid that Tufts will see that as a huge disadvantage And this 16% thing is not helping…
Anyone know when decisions are coming out?
@annakarenina1 They said early next week. Hopefully Monday, maybe Tuesday.
@annakarenina1 @lavalamp97 Do you think they would release on ivy day?
@steward15 It is because they are predicting a higher yield. More people who are accepted are taking the offer.
Don’t they usually release a day after the Ivies? If so, should we expect to be waiting until wednesday?
@Qwerty568 usually they go out the Friday before ivies so everyone thought it was gonna be yesterday
@Backshe9 No, the Ivies usually release on Thursdays, right? Regardless, it’s too late
Guys, it’ll come either Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday… Nothing to do now besides wait.
@Qwerty568 ivies release on Tuesday this year but yeah there’s nothing to do now except wait
To me, “early next week” means Monday or Tuesday. Wednesday is mid week.
@Backshe9 Yes, I know about Ivy Day. What I mean is that usually the Ivies release on the third Thursday in Marchh and Tufts releases the day after, the third Friday in March. Since the Ivies deviated from their pattern this year, I wonder if Tufts chose to do so as well so as to follow their pattern of being the day after the Ivies. It could also be the number of snow days that Tufts had that caused the delay, too.
When my oldest son applied to tufts & ivies in 2011, Tufts released on the same day as ivies. The only school on his list that notified later was emory. Not sure what happened last year bc youngest son got into tufts ED2.
Good luck, everybody!
@Steward15 I read somewhere (I forget exactly where, maybe on the Admissions Blog a while back?) that the reason for the drop in admission is because more people have reported Tufts as their top choice. Since they expect more people to opt to go if receiving admission, less people are being accepted. I’m guessing this means more applicants will get waitlisted. It’s nerveracking
Are we expecting decisions to come out on April 1st? (day after ivy day) lol I’m really hoping for tufts to come through they’re my last hope!
on their blog the other day they said that decisions would be released “early next week” (so maybe Monday or Tuesday?)
