To me, early is either Monday or Tuesday- I think they’re going to release the same day as the Ivies. It’s all speculation though!
Tufts, please love me more than Johns Hopkins does lol
@Cpm1234 Same…but I heard that JHU had an overall 12 percent acceptance rate this year versus Tufts’ 16 percent overall acceptance rate…so there’s still hope for us.
@Cpm1234 I couldn’t have said it better. In just worried because of the post on the admissions blog, it basically said “we were really selective this year because we couldn’t tell which students love us more”
LOL I thought that they had already released them.
Either way I will open everything until April first
Did everyone here get an interview? I requested one on jan 1st and I live in nyc so I expected the number of alumni here for an interview to be plenty but I never got an email or a phone call :/. Should I take this as a sign that I didn’t get in?
are all the decisions mailed or do the come up on the portal?
portal (for ED they emailed you that it was ready).
@macrocker101 you probably missed the deadline to be eligible if you didn’t request one until January first. It has very little impact on your admissions decision if it makes you feel better.
Hi everyone! International student as well here. I’ve been following this thread for a while now. Tufts is pretty much my last hope too so I’m keeping my fingers crossed and trying (and failing) To study for exams next week haha.
Good luck to all of you! (:
My request was a week before the deadline, but I guess bc of the amount of applicants this year they didn’t have enough interviewers? I’m upset only because tufts is all about admitting the students " that love them most" and The interview was the only way I knew to show how much I wanted to go to Tufts.
I don’t know- how else did you guys show love? Haha
S got a Tufts interview via Skype. Senior Jumbo guy was in a hurry. Kept asking for questions and hardly listened. We hope it won’t backfire. Good luck all!
my DD didn’t get an interview. I think she even sent an email to ask for one. But no interview. I hope it doesn’t hurt her.
@macrocker101 I think the “Why Tufts” essay helped show some love, much more than an interview can!
I’m sure they are well aware that not everybody got the opportunity to interview and I think it’s more of a judge of personality than of love of the school
@macrocker101 I went to their “STEM Open House,” but I live in Boston so that wasn’t much of a commitment.
@macrocker101 I was lucky enough to get an interview, visited twice (I live six hours away) and sat in on a class my second time. I was pretty specific in my Why Tufts, mentioned one of my tour guides by name. I hope it was enough.
could be today!! who’s excited/nervous too?
2pm PST today?
Where did you get that info?
I requested an interview and didn’t get it, which was disappointing because I think I’m good at interviewing and tufts is the one I care about the most. I tried to convey my love for the school in my “why tufts” essay but there’s only so much you can say with a 100 word deadline. I never got a chance to visit, even though I would’ve loved to. They probably won’t know how much I love them. We’ll see though.
