@TheGuidingLIght I called Tufts fin. aid today and asked about the IDOC situation (my son’s info was uploaded on 2/22, but who knows when it will be processed). Friendly voice on phone said not to worry; the 3/2 deadline is not so firm, and as long as IDOC has the info, they will get it in time. Hope that’s true! FWIW…
@AlaskaDadster Thanks for the info. I called a number of colleges today and they, too, are all apparently aware of just how far behind IDOC processing is.
Unfortunately, I received an email late this afternoon from IDOC saying they cannot read one or more of my uploaded documents. Really??? All PDF files, all re-verified before I uploaded each one, and it’s not readable? 15 days later you tell me this?? (venting)! Anyway, after another 35 min wait on the phone with IDOC, the IDOC rep could not tell me which documents were unreadable. Given this smooth operation, I plan to Fed-X all of the documents tomorrow. Also emailed IDOC and they appreciated my email (auto response) saying they would get back to me in 72 hours. Take a simple process but add another layer of
…complexity and stupidity. By the time they process my paper files, it will probably be early April and I will have to wait patiently for Financial Aid folks to get back to me with a package.
good luck, there is not much accountability of College Board. Colleges should abandon their CSS. I wonder if they sell our financial infor for big profit (even after stripping out the ID infor).
IDOC is absolutely THE most frustrating process. I uploaded documents for both of my daughters - the SAME documents. One daughter has processed, the other has not. I uploaded the documents on 2/7. I have called CollegeBoard 5 times. Yes, 5 times. They outsource the actual processing of the documents, so they really are clueless about when the documents will get processed. They tell me that my request is being expedited. Ha!
Miracle of miracles! Spoke to an IDOCS rep (after being on hold for 45 min) and they said they actually had everything, even though a number of my documents were mislabeled. Sure enough, the next morning all of my documents were processed and available to institutions. Called again to question why they mislabeled a number of my documents that were uploaded with clear names (e.g. IDOCS took my business tax form and labeled under my daughter’s name…really?), but IDOCS rep said not to worry as long as colleges received the entire image file.
@paminaz - any luck with your uploads?
So, does anyone have a date and time for when Tufts will release their decisions? I think last year they were released decisions on Friday, March 28 shortly after 3pm.
@TheGuidingLight I think it’ll be Friday March 27 at 3 pm this year. But that just a guess, who knows!
Whatever it is, it’s not soon enough!
The Tufts website says RD admissions decisions will be posted “by April 1.” Does anyone know if they are all released on April 1 or if they could come out before then?
Usually before ^
@TheGuidingLight It looks like they processed the documents, but they mislabeled the uploaded docs and it looks like failed to check off the required documents were received.
What is funny is that we also received a notification that we were missing papers. So how did the upload for my other kid go straight through? Argh. They need to get a better handle on how the 3rd party does this processing - it is obvious they do not do the actual processing as they have no control!
I keep checking my D’s tufts FA profile. It says they haven’t received our tax info, even though we submitted IDOC 10 days ago. I called Tufts FA office. They checked on my D’s file and said they’ve got everything, just didn’t refresh the page.
Less than 2 more weeks
do we know an official decision date?
I don’t think Tufts has released an official date yet (I assume they’d email us if they did). I’m still going with March 27th.
ED1 jumbo here from California! Our notification date was “by December 16,” but I got mine the day before, December 15, around 12pm. Just FYI
Thanks @jumbomegan! Congratulations on getting in
I can’t wait any longer!! Ahh!!
I can!
Any news on when results are announced?
