Hi, I wanted to major in either mechanical engineering or Industrial Engineering. Which school do you think is better for it?
Tufts doesn’t have a major in industrial engineering; there are probably relevant courses in ME and Applied Math, as well as some other engineering departments (including the Gordon Institute, which has classes in engineering management and entrepreneurship).
Beyond that I don’t know much about Purdue’s engineering school. The undergraduate experiences at a large public school in Indiana vs a smallish private one outside Boston would be very different ones, though,
Right thanks. But which one would you prefer for engineering? (If the cost was the same.)
Depends. Which one will give the better financial aid package? Are you looking to grad school?
Both are working out to the same cost. I’m looking for an Undergraduate school
Thanks
@rathin I meant if you’re looking to go into grad school in the future? If so, I’d recommend the place where you’d be a big fish in a small pond
