Tufts gpa system

Does Tufts using +/- like A+ and A- in its gpa calculation?
Is B+ counting as 3.33?

We do!

And now to fill space so CC will let me post the answer.

Does an A+ at Tufts University count as a 4.0 or a 4.33?

B- = 2.667; B= 3; B+ is a 3.333; A- = 3.667; A = 4.0; A+ = 4.0 (NOT 4.333)

^^yeah, making that A+ no better than an A irked people who pulled off that rare A+. Just didn’t seem fair.

Medical schools, to use the one example that I am familiar with, automatically recalculate an A+ to be a 4.0. So at least no one is in for a major shock if they apply for grad schools and their GPA dramatically changes.

^^ That’s funny. I recall that when i applied to law school (and this is a LONG time ago), the Tufts GPA’s were recalculated (not sure whether it was through the LSAT people or some other entity that got all transcripts, recalculated GPAs, and then passed that on to the law schools designated by the applicant) so that an A+ was recalculated from a 4.0 to a 4.3!
I had a couple of A+'s, and i was happy to see my GPA go up after I had graduated!
