Tufts, JHU, G-Town, U of P

So, right now I'm choosing between Tufts, Johns Hopkins University, Georgetown, and University of Pacific 5 year dental program. I plan on either doing pre-med or pre-dental. My dad wants me to be a dentist, but I'm not sure whether I want to be a doctor or dentist. If I were to become a dentist, I would choose the 5 year dental program, but I'm not sure at this point in my life.

So, out of the other three schools, which do you think I should attend? I heard JHU is extremely competitive and hard for pre-med so my gpa is lower... My friend who had a lower gpa than me in high school now has a 3.9 in georgetown, not bad. Tufts is pretty good as well, my dad went there for dental school

I would pick Georgetown. But this really comes down to fit.

From my standpoint, I'd choose dentistry over medicine. Dentists are more entrepreneurial and will not be hampered by the bureaucracy plaguing the rest of the medical industry...just my opinion. So, from this perspective a bird in the hand is worth two in the bush...you're already in the dental program at U of the Pacific...I would go there. You'll have a DDS degree after 5 years?

^yes..........

Cool...I'd do that. But if its not what you want I wouldn't push you.
