My daughter is choosing between Tufts and Haverford, but is concerned about the size of both. Tufts seems big, with large intro classes. Haverford has small classes, but the school is tiny. Having Bryn Mawr and Swarthmore helps, but it still seems that socially Haverford feels like it could get claustrophobic. She wants to be with other students who are engaged and there to learn, but she also wants there to be things to do outside of class.
Any input would be great!

The people at Tufts just might be the overall greatest kids that I have ever encountered!

Tufts isn’t really that big. I have a few friends that attend Tufts and they have said that the intro classes aren’t too big. Tufts has 5000 undergrads, which is fairly small considering all of the opportunities that the school offers. I like Haverford but I think a student body of 1200 is really limiting socially.
The students at both schools are extremely passionate and intelligent.
Tufts’ proximity to Boston is great for internships, and Boston is a great place to be for a college student.
Your daughter has two wonderful options and really can’t make a bad choice.
