Tufts or Northwestern

I was accepted to both Northwestern University and Tufts University. I looked at the US News rankings and a few others, noticing that Northwestern is ranked higher than Tufts as an institution.

I am interested in both law and international relations, two things which are prestigious at Northwestern and Tufts, respectively. The prospect of a new city (Medford/Boston) is enticing, but the seemingly better quality of education at Northwestern pulls me that way. Since costs (tuition + room & board) are relatively equal and I do not know my financial aid package from either school yet, I was wondering which would be a better undergraduate school to attend.

Any suggestions?

I would suggest Northwestern, especially for an undergrad area of study like yours, where prestige is basically a must have. Both are excellent institutions though, don’t let financial reasons deter you at all from where you want to go either.

Visit both and decide based on fit. If you were interested in anything other than international relations/law/ethic, it would be Northwestern hands down.
