on the portal or by mail?

“Your admissions decision will be found here first when it is available.” - the Admission Decision window in TAMS.

@Cawledge96 I’m very well aware of Ivy Day, since I’m waiting from more than a couple school on 27th. And yes, they say it April 1st on the portal. Agh, I wish it was coming on the Ivy day. It would be so nice, hearing from all of the schools I’m interested in and clear everything out. I don’t want to drag it to April 1st. But whatevs-

My TAMs is down. I think that means decisions are coming. Is anyone else having this problem?

same

does this mean decisions are today??

i hope!!

the anxiety !

Portal is working again. Nothing changed.

same here… so maybe what happened has nothing to do with the decisions

did they come out?

No. Today is not the decision date. http://admissions.tufts.edu/apply/application-deadlines/
They say decision date is April 1st, not “by” April 1st, but April 1st. I hope it comes out earlier, but April 1st is what it seems to be the decision date.

that answers the decision date question…look at the comments

@fulltimesleeper Thanks for the info. I was wating for info that’s backed up by the admission office post like this. So many people were saying it should be 27th, 28th, or some random date, but couldn’t back it up… I’d love to hear from them before 27th or on 27th, but we’ll see what happens.

oh, that comment was made 5 hours ago… Hearing news tomorrow seems to be a stretch, then

I think it will be the 27th on IVY day as in the past

Around what time did it come out in the past? I know most (or probably, all) Ivys are at 5 p.m. but I know some non-Ivys sometimes give out decision either at 3 p.m. or 7 p.m… Any information?

how many deferred applicants are here?..the suspense is unbearable: -(

My daughter was deferred and even though Tufts is her #1 choice by a mile I actually think the suspense has been less than waiting to hear from Tufts than waiting for some “rolling” admission choices. The daily “Did you hear” has worn us both out. I will be very grateful when this next week is over.

By April 1st. Beyond that, you won’t get anyone here to give you a clearer answer. Personally, I’d like to tell you, but what happens when you all know the time is that the traffic for students hitting “refresh” jams up our systems and creates a non-zero chance of crashing us just as we try to release.

That’s not ideal for you, I know. Nevertheless, I’d ask you to retrain yourselves from calling/emailing just to see if we will give you a more precise date/time for decisions. We will not.

So, here’s what I can tell you:

At the moment we release, you’ll get an email in your inbox notifying you of the release and offering the link (along with your username/password) to check your decision. Hitting refresh in Gmail, or Yahoomail, or (heaven forbid) hotmail should be all you need to do to stay as current as possible. But, really, I’d recommend you find something something to do instead of that. Hitting refresh in your inbox sounds stressful. I hear Muppets Most Wanted is good - has anyone seen it?

Dan - thanks and I agree with everything that you have said in your post. However, how do some schoole (UIUC for example) get around this issue with the system crashing because students all hitting the refresh button at the same time. They announced the dates on which they would release the decisions early in the cycle(August of last year I think) and were able to do it with amazing accuracy & I believe they have 10s of thousands of applicants. Will they not have the same issues?
