So for the 3rd essay question on the Tufts Supplement, the option "A" says "Who are you?" and then gives you a number of different mediums to offer your response. Would it be considered appropriate to link to my personal blog, which, though small, has (what I consider) some of my best writing posted up? I think it really gives a sense for who I am and what I believe in, so would it be recommended to link to it instead of writing an essay? I honestly think that it shows "me" more than a 250 word essay ever will, especially because I despise word limits.

You can’t just link the blog, that looks lazy.

You can write a description of the blog, why you started it, what it’s about, etc. and provide the link, or if you have enough space you can add one or two posts that you consider your best, or you can just describe what you think is your best post and provide the link.

Bottom line - definitely use the blog just do more than provide a link.

Best of luck!

Actually, you could just link the blog. That’s within the scope of the question and certainly wouldn’t count against you.

If you included a sentence or two about the blog, that’s ok, too, and potentially helpful if you’d got an interesting story to tell about how/why you started it. But, honestly, I suspect most of the blogs we’ll be linked to won’t need an accompanying essay.
