@binky17 If I get into Tufts, I’ll be in the same situation. I’d definitely choose Tufts hands down, but I’ve read threads in which people choose NEU Honors over Tufts.
Thx @ap012199 if you don’t mind, can you tell me why it would be an easy decision for you? Has it do with your field? And is it your sense that the particular field was the decisive factor for those who chose NEU over Tufts? I am only a parent of an applicant, btw. Just really curious. Thank you!
As a bio major, I was accepted EA to NEU Honors with 20k/yr merit and did not even hesitate in applying ED2 to Tufts. Even when I got in ED, Tufts offered me 20k total grant(100% demonstrated need, ofc) more than NEU and NEU still cost me twice the amount of Tufts with its merit offered.
Sounds like even if the $ had been equal, you would have still chosen Tufts, @Mamapa2 ? Can you say why?
@binky17 smaller class sizes at Tufts, more of a community, better academics (from what I’ve read), more school spirit.
NEU does have the co-op though, which is awesome.
The first reason would definitely be Tufts’ friendly, liberal artsy, and less competitive/more close knit collaborative (smaller classes) academic environment that appealed to me, which definitely made me apply ED2 to Tufts over waiting RD on several Ivies, WashU, and Rice. Additionally, biology and lots of other programs are more highly regarded at Tufts than at NEU (though NEU is great and rising up and I would probably have loved its honors dorms!). However, if I were studying Engineering (which Tufts is not that strong at but rising too), the choice between NEU Honors vs Tufts might be a bit harder to make, but based on Tufts’ environment, I, personally, may have still chosen Tufts. gl 
I’ve already asked some people, but do you guys think that/know if Tufts values its supplements more than the common app essay?
I wish they would release an official date for when they would release. I’m freaking out thinking about it with such uncertainty as to when.
Last year on 3/29/16 they posted to their fb page that they’d be posting decisions on 3/31 in the late afternoon. I didn’t see any posts from them today tho 
@ap012199 I’m going to guess yes, just because the Common App prompts are so generic that it’s hard to get a feel for who the applicant is, whereas the tufts supplementals are much more focused.
I posted a while back that they explicitly said they think the supplements are more important, and the reason is basically along the lines of what @masquerade98 is saying. Personally, I think the supplements offered me a chance to show my personality a lot better than for other schools (though 3 supplements was fun but also a bit of work:)), but I’m glad to have written them and don’t think I would have gotten in without “Let Your Life Speak” or “What Makes You Happy” lol I know their essays are kinda weird
@Mamapa2 I can relate! My CA essay was good but rather college essay-esque, but my Tufts supplements were definitely the best I’ve written for any school (and I think that says a lot about my compatibility with Tufts)! Hopefully my “What makes you happy?” response will seal the deal!!

saaame i hope my cute/funny essays pull thru lmao. I used the general essay idea about photoshop for tufts and another school, but it didn’t work out for the other school bc the essay was pretty nerdy/funny/artsy or whatever haha (and the other school was really not like that) so i hope it actually works for tufts !!
So do we have any idea when the decisions are gonna come out?
It is theoretically possible, but they will probably not come out today. More likely you will get yours tomorrow, Friday or Saturday at the latest. Tufts promised to release them by April 1.

Urrgh, I can’t handle another rogue Admission Decision. Those are nerve-wrecking. An e-mail might arrive at ANY TIME. So glad that Duke and Ivies tell us when to check the portals.
