Tufts sent an email to me saying they did a review of my financial application and that it was incomplete and I should send in the forms I was missing asap (oops, haha). I was wondering if this was standard of all applicants or if they only look at the financial app if I’m going to be accepted… Maybe this is only wishful thinking? lol
They look at it for all applicants.
I didn’t get an email for financial aid. It’s funny…I received an email from Boston College about my financial aid forms and they put me on the waitlist. Maybe they’re hinting at your admission?

Ey, on the portal, has annyone elses Financial aid tab changed? Mine first had like 4/5 documents there shown as submitted, but now it only shows 1, de CSS profile??
@AllyssXx Huh. Don’t want to read too much into it, but mine hasn’t changed.
I doubt it has anything to do with admissions - more likely just based on financial aid status.

What do you guys think my chances are (majoring in poli sci)?
ACT 33, 3.98/4.25 gpa / All of my extracurriculars are about politics/journalism/art (editor-in-chief of the yearbook, photo/business editor of the school newspaper, member of harvard model congress, volunteer on the campaign trail of a congressional candidate who is now a congressman, etc etc + submitted an art portfolio on slideroom) I don’t volunteer that much rip but I put all of my effort into my passions/extracurrics I just don’t know if it will show through my app lmao. i was waitlisted at ucla/barnard/cmc and rejected at usc so im really scared/shook about march 30th! any advice would help, thank u!!
@thenewstyped Going through this admission progress made me a lot more jaded, so personally, you have a good shot, but so do a lot of people. Your ECs are certainly very pointed and reflects what you want to do, so that’s good. Good luck this Thursday!
On a side note, I applied for polisci/IR too, so hope we see each other at Tufts!

@teddyh No official confirmation yet, but based on past years, this is our best guess.
How bad can it get if you completely messed up your most recent transcript (A,B,B,B,C), considering that you were working on your common application and have a good previous record?
^^I’m in a similar situation, how much is senior year actually looked at? I’m not failing but I’m definitely not doing as well as I used to because of an internship+more demanding classes.
Does Tufts send an email before releasing admissions?!?
My son is also waiting to hear from Tufts; The school website states decisions will be released sometime before April 1, but he has heard from other schools before their stated deadlines. so now he’s worried that he’s been rejected because he hasn’t heard from tufts yet.
