Tufts vs Boston College

So,

Which would you choose and why? Could you be specific i.e. type of student body, athletics, atmosphere, food, dorms, etc.

For me, I would also have to look at what my potential major is and gear that toward the school I pick. I can’t speak for Tufts since I am not a student there nor have I visited the campus, but I would probably pick BC hands down.

BC’s athletics clearly beats Tufts since BC is a D1 school with plenty of sports to go around, including football, basketball, and hockey. The student body is not very diverse as about 3/4 of the students are caucasian, but are generally very accepting of other people. Aside from that, BC has a great overall environment and a beautiful campus to boot. The only way to truly find out is to visit both campuses and talk to the students there.

This one is funny for me because my son is a senior at Tufts and his girlfriend of 5 1/2 years is a junior at BC. Four years ago, S was unwilling to consider BC and a year later girlfriend would not consider Tufts. Both have been very happy with their decision.

S is a CS in Engineering major and girlfriend is in the Carroll School of Management.
