I recently got into Tufts and NYU. I am now in a tug of war between the two and your help is greatly needed. I am looking to double major major in poly sci(or i may change it to IR) and philosophy.

I also got a GT'ed from Cornell(CAS). I am now deciding on which school i should go to, and if i should transfer to cornell in my sophmore year, as they promised.

My son got GT'd from Cornell too. He is trying to decide between USC and Notre Dame for a year. I think he'll fall in love with whichever school he goes to first and then not transfer at all. I want him to go to ND, so I have to push for USC, so he'll do the opposite.

He has a friend waitlisted at Tufts and my son was rejected by NYU. Good luck. Both good schools. Do you think you'll actually transfer?

For PoliSci or IR I would recommend Tufts. However, do you prefer an urban or suburban school? If you want urban, go to NYU. If you want suburban, go to Tufts.

NYU is the least collegiate experience in the U.S. I don't understand its recent popularity. It has no school spirit, campus or sense of community. People's main selling point for it is the NYC location. If you crave that, you can work in NYC after college. NYC is a lot more enjoyable with an income anyway.
