What does someone need to get into these schools? Which is more difficult to get into?

Relatively equal admissions standards. Tufts would be a little tougher because it gets a lot of the Ivy rejects, whereas vassar would have a less competitive admissions pool. They don't share the same name recognition as HYP but their academics are similar to the very best schools. If you're a guy, Vassar would be significantly easier to get into than Tufts.

Would you go to either one for science in particular? I associate Tufts
w/areas like Int'l Relations and Social Sciences, and Vassar for the
Humanities. But this may no longer be the case at all, any thoughts?

yea but vassar is just as good in those areas from what i ve gathered.

For Vassar, it depends if you’re male or female. Based on the common data set, Vassar accepted 20% of the women and 35% of the men who applied last year!
