Tufts Con: My concern is overall fit. I really don’t a very politically active campus. I lean more conservative, with an open mind. But I don’t want that to be the center of my life.
It is OK to choose a place where you love the program. It is OK to decide you don’t like a place that you were crazy about in previous years - I mean do you still love your favorite food/band/clothing style from three years ago? It is OK to turn your back on a place of perceived prestige.
And I’m with Publisher about hanging onto the Cornell TO. You can revisit that option next spring.
are you premed? if yes then go where you can get good gpa and time to prepare for mcat + time for ec’s. Undergrad college prestige is not important for premed.
Didn’t you already decline an offer from the identically-ranked (in USN) University of Rochester? If you could look a bit beyond rankings then in search of a personal fit, it seems you could do the same now. So, really, the question seems to be, which school would suit you better, Lehigh or Tufts?
Rochester was easier to decline because it was one of the few schools I never visisted, too far from home, too cold and didn’t like location.
Tufts was it from day one. Also attended two summer programs and visited a bunch of times. My only concern was political activism (i’m not into big controversy etc)
Lehigh concern was Greek life and what else would there be outside of it. (love the program though)
