Tuition 2011 2012?

Does anyone have an idea re tuition for 2011-2012? They gave a sizable bump this past year and was curious.
Thank you!

[U</a> of I Records: 2010-2011 Undergrad Engineering Tuition Rate](http://registrar.illinois.edu/financial/ugrad_engineering.html#year)
Around $15,000/yr for engineering; I’m not bothering to look for general tuition. You can navigate to the page from the link.

are the tuition and other fees fixed for the 4 years of your study or they increase every year? Roughly how many % increase each year?

Tuition has historically been fixed, so hopefully it will stay fixed for the four years,

15,000 is the current tuition, coccrect? I was told it changes in he summer so we really won’t know until summer of this year what our tuition is for 2011-2012? Unless I misunderstood…

I think you are right. I heard the same thing…unavailable untill June or July for 2010-2011 academic year.

The Board of Trustees said in January that it would try to determine and announce any tuition increase by the end of March (the board meets March 23 so it would come right after that if it actually makes a decision on it at that time). Whether that will actually occur is yet to be seen. Last year the announcement did not come until late June.

Each freshman class is locked in to the same tuition it has freshman year for four years. That lock-in does not apply to fees.

There was an article in the Chicago Tribune yesterday indicating that the subject was discussed at a meeting yesterday, with some specualtion of only implementing a 2% cost of living increase, but no final determination until the next meeting, so no official numbers were mentioned.

I saw that as well. Right now the state has many issues to deal with. Let’s hope for 2%.
