<p>Well, to be honest, I'm a bit confused with the whole financial aid aspect of this. On NYU's website, it is stated that the estimated costs for the 08-09 year are approximately $48,800. On the financial aid award sheet I received with my acceptance packet, the total number it all added up to (loans, grants, scholarships, etc) was a little over $51,000, but nowhere in the acceptance packet does it actually give a true breakdown of the annual costs. </p>

<p>I have a feeling it'll be more like the $51,000 number, but does anyone know for sure? I can't see why they would overestimate if that's not the case...</p>

<p>are you sure the website isn't for 07-08 costs?? I haven't seen the 08-09 costs listed, but based on your figure of 51000 that seems about right. Realize that tuition for different schools w/i NYU varies and the room and meal plan can vary several thousand $$ based on your choice</p>
