Tuition Deposit

My son received the Presidential Scholarship covering tuition and fees for four years. New students are asked to pay a tuition deposit, along with orientation fee and housing deposit. I assume the tuition deposit has to be made, but will that be refunded when the scholarship is in effect? Will the credit stay in his account and will it carry over to other semesters?

Congrats! Deposits must be paid, and then I believe that once the scholarship hits, yes, the deposits will become a “credit” and will be refunded.

Outstanding achievement!

Thanks so much, Chris & DJStony. It took a couple of weeks, but he finally chose Stony Brook over NYU. The scholarship absolutely helped in that decision!
