ok, so the tuition technically due tomorrow, sept 1st. i just paid it today, not knowing that it may take up to 2 days for the transaction. they say that if they don't receive it by 9/1, you'll not only have to pay a late fee, but may not be able to registar for classes. i understand that if you're really late in paying, you may not be able to registar, but like a couple days late?

I have no answer, but a related question. Out of curiosity, how does paying for tuition work if you're on aid?

I’d suggest you call the school and speak with someone in student accounts. Explain to them that you paid and see if they can have the fee waived.

Sneezy, you get a bill for your remaining portion before each quarter, unless you make arrangements to get on the monthly payment plan. You don't actually handle the aid money beyond applying for it and making a few choices when accepting it. The online billing and payment system is easy to navigate. You can check your aid there and see how it is distributed.

For workstudy, your paychecks get deposted after you find a job and start working.

wait, doesn't work study money go to us instead of directly into tuition payments?

Yes. You get a check.

i was quite late payin tuition last yr, thought my dad got the same emails as me. i was able to register, had no holds, and he ismply talked with an administrator about what happened and they waived the fee. make sure you call though

Yes, juliusmonky, sorry for the misunderstanding. I meant your work study paychecks get direct deposited to your bank account. I don't know if it has to work that way, but it's usually the easiest.
