Hi. '21 daughter will be eligible for Tuition Exchange and wondering thoughts how the pandemic will affect TE. I can see how colleges want to fill more seats so may offer more TE slots or perhaps conversely they are tighter with budgets any may offer less TE slots?? Any thoughts? Any experiences from '20 kids/parents how the pandemic affected TE for them? Thanks!
I have the same questions & concerns. I’m of the opinion that Covid will cause shrinking enrollments, which will make universities more cash-strapped & stingy, possibly cutting the number of TE scholarships awarded. My husband, the one who actually works in academia, thinks TE guarantees a college money from housing/fees/meal plans, etc. Plus, it frees up regular scholarship money to offer to other high stats kids who pay for housing/fees/meal plans, etc. He’s not concerned with colleges cutting the number of awards, though we both agree that this could mean only the highest stats kids will get TE.
@foolfortravel Yes, it will be interesting to see how it all pans out. Fingers crossed!
