I know there isn’t much talk on here about Tulane Athletics but I think it’s worth a mention that Tulane Baseball has made it into the NCAA Tournament! Their first game is this coming Friday at 4pm ET vs. Boston College. It will air on ESPN 3. My son’s work study job has him working all of the sporting events during the school year. He’s truly enjoyed working with and getting to know the players and coaches.
ROLL WAVE!!
Good luck to our boys of summer against BC today. You can watch it live on your laptop/desktop on ESPN3 (or on your tablet or phone if you have the ESPN app) or listen to the radio broadcast through your computer via http://www.wrbh.org/
It all starts at 4 PM EDT, 3 PM Central.
2:00 EDT against Ole Miss today!
Great job by the guys!! Huge 2 run homer in the top of the ninth to go ahead 6-5 and they hung on to win. As exciting as it gets if you are a Tulane fan.
Next game tomorrow against Utah, again at 2:00 PM EDT on ESPN3.
Another big day for the Green and Blue!!! Took care of Utah with excellent pitching and some big homers. 4-1, lost the shutout in the eighth. Now we just have to get revenge for that loss to BC by beating them twice. Tough assignment but they can do it. Not sure of times yet, but will post when it seems all set. Definitely will be tomorrow though, excepting weather issues.
Ah, I had it wrong. They played another game later today against BC, and they need a big rally. They are losing 6-2 in the bottom of the 8th.
Well, they almost had the big rally. Had it at 6-3 in the bottom of the eighth, bases loaded and one out, but unfortunately we hit into a double play and nothing else happened the rest of the game. So congrats to BC and to our Tulane team, who had a really great season.
They had an amazing season! It was so fun to watch them play over the weekend. I see a bright future for Tulane Athletics for sure!
I hope they can hang on to Pierce, the coach. He has attracted attention from some of the biggest programs like Texas and some others, from what I hear. We need to hold onto him.
