Need input here, basically future intention is medical career.
Tulane - Dean Scholar + Honor program
tuition:$0.0
Univ of Chicago - University Scholar about $15K scholarship&grant
tuition cost: 25K extra
Umich - Instate Ross Preferred+ LSA or Art&design dual
tuition cost: 10K+
Any inputs on pre med program and comments on cost&benefit for these schools
well appreciated

I’m not sure that UChicago is worth $100,000 more than Tulane, particularly if your end goal is medicine. Your MCAT scores and GPA will be the dominant factors in med school admission. In these circumstances, I’d only recommend Chicago if you are especially attracted to UChicago’s core curriculum AND if money is not too important a consideration.

The real question here is tulane or michigan. Chicago is way too expensive if you’re going to med route, as name doesn’t matter nearly as much as it does in other career paths.

Both are good. It really depends on the size and type of school you want.

Thanks for your input. Personally, I would like to attend the Chicago because of its core, its strong academics, its world reputation, and relatively small class size. Although my family is able to support me if I decide to go Chicago, I do wish to know some more from you guys to justify the extra spending comparing to Tulane and UMich. I will visit Chicago on 15th and 16th this month. Also can anyone tell me something regarding undergraduate visual arts?

If you have not seen this, it might be helpful: [Department of Visual Arts DoVA: Undergraduate Program](http://dova.uchicago.edu/undergraduate/)

My main question is how strong are Tulane’s and UMich’s pre-med tracks?
