I know that last year, ED and EA applicants were notified kind of at random up until Dec. 15. I know that online it says that applicants will know BY Dec. 15, so is Tulane releasing admission decisions in the same fashion that they did last year?
There is no way to know. It’s been a pattern as long as I’ve been frequenting this forum, but you never know what they will do.
@naf619 - based on what I’ve heard… This year, they’re only releasing decisions on a few specific dates, so applicants only need to check their portals on those dates. I do not know what those dates are, but I am guessing applicants will be notified through Tulane’s blog, social media, email, etc.
Does anyone know how many ED applications there were and what that admission rate was? I see all the EA/ED together but those are now vastly different categories! thx
Anyone know if EA for Tulane class of 2022 will come out sooner than Jan 15?
@chappmom5 EA letters will be mailed on December 17 and the Green Wave portals will be updated a few days after the letters are mailed, according to the Tulane Admissions Director’s November 15, 2017 blog. Check out http://tuadmissionjeff.blogspot.com or just google it.
Does anyone know if letters are mailed to both mailing and permanent addresses? I have my mailing address listed as my boarding school, but I’m actually home sick at my listed permanent address. I still think it’ll be updated online before I get anything in the mail because of being in Maryland, but does anyone know?
I had no idea there was a blog. Wow. Your reply was SUPER SUPER helpful. All crossed!
I don’t know but on the GreenWave portal it shows the addresses you have so perhaps you want to update your address so it goes to you?
@chappmom5 I applied ED, letters were sent out yesterday!
The letter will be sent to whatever address Tulane has updated for you
Does anyone know when the portals will be updated
5pm Thurday the 30th of november
I called admissions. It’s gonna be 4pm CT tomorrow. 5pm Eastern.
What if the alumni interview didn’t go too well?
@chappmom5 - it depends what you mean by ‘didn’t go too well.’ In my opinion, if a candidate is deserving of admittance to Tulane (based on essay, scores, extra curriculars, etc) but did not have a great interview, TU would not reject this student solely based on the interview.
Without knowing how much the interview plays into an admission decision, I would say that the interview section is there to help an applicant that may not have been admitted if it wasn’t for a great interview.
I would not worry too much about it.
Super helpful. Thank you.
My S applied EA and I am so neevous. Anyone else on pins and needles
Do you have a sense if the letters will be send on 12/15 vs. 12/17 (as 17th is a Sunday)?
