I am having a very hard time deciding between Tulane and Lehigh. They are my two top choices and there are things I love about both of them and things I don’t like. I loved Tulane and New Orleans when I visited. Lehigh had a beautiful campus, but I am not sure if I want to be in a small town. But, I loved that Lehigh was 2 hours away from my home in New York City and not a plane ride away. A lot of friends of mine are going to Tulane, which is a good thing and a bad thing. I don’t want to know a ton of people at college, but I also don’t want to go in not knowing anyone (I don’t know anyone applying to Lehigh right now). I think that Lehigh has better academics than Tulane, but a part of me feels like Tulane has a bigger name (which I am trying not to focus on, but it is impossible not to) I know that both schools are big party schools. I am thinking about ED2 to Lehigh (since the regular acceptance for my school is VERY low), but I am scared to commit incase I want to go to Tulane. Someone PLEASE help me. Which is better or has a better reputation? Or can you just tell me some of the major pros and cons of both? Anything!!!
First question: Both of these schools are very expensive. Will your parents pay for these schools?
Yes.
What do you want to study?
I’m not sure yet. I am considering Neuroscience (I know Tulane has a great program) but also thinking about business/marketing. I want to do a little big of everything and then figure out it, which is the beauty of both these schools
My understanding is that the two schools are roughly similar in terms of reputation and the qualifications of the student body. Between these two, I think it really should come down to where you think you would be happier and more comfortable between a school in the suburbs and a school in a city, and that’s just personal preference. Both are fine schools. Good luck!
They are both good schools. It’s going to come down to what’s important to you… what you are looking for. Good luck!
