help! my friend said Ivy’s/Privates want your essays by 12/5??? even though it says 1/1… as a convenience to them???

<p>I really don't think they even look at anything you send in until Jan. They'll be worrying about early applicants until mid-december, then they'll probably want to take a winter break.</p>
