I was thinking about writing my college essay about my twin sister and I attending different high schools because it's provided us with individuality and separate high school experiences.

However, would twin essays be too cliche to write about?

Not at all. I for one would love to read about how things turned out. Your application readers will feel the same way.

Keep in mind to -

-Weigh the story more heavily towards yourself. The application is yours at the end of the day.

-Create an actual story, and don’t simply list out the changes that took place.

-Create some suspense and ambiguity. Make sure that you’re reader isn’t able to predict what happens next.

If you get into journalism and your sister gets into drama, I shouldn’t be reading about the stereotypical changes that take place next, for example.

This is far from cliched. There’s potential here.
