Two additional courses in areas relating to Financial Mathematics approved by an advisor?

Hello guys, I am currently a sophomore major in Financial Math in LSA. I need two courses to meet the requirement “Two additional courses in areas relating to Financial Mathematics approved by an advisor”, but my appointment time is next Wednesday while I need to select my courses today.

So is there someone know what kind of courses will be approved? Like Econ…may be psychology?? B-)

I think you are talking about what I have posted below and is in the attached link. Looks like these are your choices without advisor approval. Can you select courses, discuss with the advisor and then change if necessary?

Related Courses

To complete the concentration program each student should elect two additional intermediate or advanced courses related to Actuarial Mathematics. Some, but not all, of the courses numbered 300 and above offered by Accounting, Computer Science, Economics, Finance, Industrial and Operations Engineering, and Statistics are appropriate here. Some specific approved courses are:
•Math 422, 427, 462 and 623
•All Accounting courses over 300, except 471
•Econ 401, 402, 409, and 452
•Finance 302 and 310
•IOE 310 and 452
•LHC (Bus. Ad.) 305
•Some Statistics courses numbered above 400
•Sociology 330
•Philosophy 361, 414 and 429

Other courses may sometimes be appropriate and in all cases approval of the advisor in Financial Mathematics is required.

@wayneandgarth thanks you rock!!!

@wayneandgarth btw, do you know about the half term? I wonder if I take math class in spring, i only get two months to learn, so do they rush the teaching process or what?

I don’t know anything in particular. But you wouldn’t take more than two classes, so yes, they do cover material in 1/2 the time. It will go quickly.
