is it wise to double up on two english classes? i need university writing program 1 because i need to improve my writing and i think it’d be good for me to learn how to write well college style. i also am interested in comparitive literature 6 (myths and legends) and want to take that because it knocks down arts&humanities and D and W for GE requirements. is it wise to take those two classes entering fall quarter?

as of now my schedule is this:

university writing program 1
math 16b
psychology 1
religious studies 1 (heard the teacher is horrible and the material aren’t exactly what i have in mind to learn about) <–dropping this

also tell me about the professors >< most of them are just “the staff”

Only Com1-4 are hard, this is because they are college requirements for graduation. Other Coms are a bit easier. Doubling up on english classes is not difficult at all, just don't slack off too much. Expect ~30-50 pages of reading a night.

university writing program 1 <= Proof read and you should be good
math 16b <= Okay, easy if you are a math person and have taken calc
psychology 1 <= Easy
religious studies 1 <= No comment.

Check your professors on ratemyprofessor. Most of the ratings are from average students. If you are an above average student, take the ratings a bit of salt. If you area a below average student, stay away from professors with lots of complaints.

thanks bmbmasta. haha my mind is indecisive and i changed my whole entire classes around again.

i decided that it's better and i guess looks better to take math 21b instead of 16b (econ major here). i'm pretty strong in math and passed the calculus bc test so hopefully i can handle it? but i'm going to take that in the future

here are my classes now:
statistics 13
philosophy 14
psychology 1
uwp 1

actually referring to the last post i made. i just got uwp. the rest i want to get into but i have to waitlist during pass 2. does anybody know if it's easy to get those classes during waitlist? considering im a freshmen ><
