Two Exams in One Day

Can one actually take two exams in one day? I am taking both AP Computers and AP Stats exams next year, and both are on the first Tuesday. The AP Computers Exam is in the morning, and it lasts for 3 hours. Combined with the time needed to distribute/collect materials, grid personal information, and the break, the exam will probably last from 8:00 to 11:30, do you think will I be able to take the Stats exam immediately after @ 12:00, or is it taking 2 in 1 day too grueling? (6+ hours testing) Has anyone else ever taken 2 exams in one day?

THANKS

I had friends do it. It's plausible but NOT a fun experience. Bring protein bars and lots of caffeine, sleep adequately for several days before the test if you can, and most importantly make sure you're really well prepared in both subjects to minimize stress.

It's most definitely possible. I was in the described situation on three days last year, and its not much of a problem. I think the caffeine/protein bar might be overstating the stress. I didn't get much sleep the night before my exams (last minute studying lol), because I know I would have done much worse if I did sleep.

yeah..it's possible.i did it last year...i took calc and chinese...and then another day psych and env sci..for calc/chinese..it wasn't too bad, b/c chinese was a breeze for me..but for psych/env sci..i only did well on psych..and ended up cancelling my env sci grade...so just make sure you feel your brain can handle the tests..

yeah last year English language and Art History were on the same day which sucked because almost everybody at my school takes those 2 classes in the same year. It wasn't so bad because I kept reminding myself that they were my last tests of the whole year.

It is possible, I did it twice last year (I had only 5 tests last year too). I did AP Bio and PhysB the same day and AP Gov and French Language the same day. Afterward however, I was really drained, as all I had was a sandwich both days and no snacks. It is NOT fun, but hey, just think of it, afterwards, you don't have to worry about 2 tests, as opposed to your friends who are only done with 1 test.

However, it was NOT fun to sit in the same room for 6 hours, that really sucked.

I agree with wewet that the caffeine/protein bar is overstating the stress. Last year, I took European history and US history on the same day--each had three essays--and I was mentally/physically fine and I got 5s on both.

I did not eat anything in between the exams, because I had literally 5 minutes between them, but I thought that was beneficial--there is a certain adrenaline rush when two extensive exams are juxtaposed like that.

Good luck!

Thanks for the advice; I'm actually taking 5 exams in 4 days next year (gov, stats, comp sci, calc bc, and lit), so it should be tons of fun....

Just be thankful that you're not taking Physics C and Biology contiguously.

it definitely depends on the tests
i mean some tests are easier and only take a couple of hours while some tests make you feel like gouging your eyes out
AP Stats should be a breeze so i don't think it will be a problem
but i would def bring a snack

I'm a little worried about the two tests in one day. I think you just have to be REALLY REALLY REALLY prepared for all the tests to minimize stress, definitely. But this is the first time I'll do it, so we'll see.

Both AP Gov tests are on the same day.
All AP Physics are on the same day.
AP Enviro and Psych are on the same day.

3 days with two tests on them. This should be terribly fun. With days between with tests. My brain is going to stop functioning for the rest of May!
