So Im in a bit of a dilemma concerning my schedule for senior year. Currently Im signed up for AP Biology. The problem is, Im not particularly interested in taking that class any more. Now Id rather take a new language(Spanish). When I made my schedule for the upcoming school year, I was leaning toward a science major in college. Since then, Ive decided to pursue Anthropology/Archeology. AP Biology would be helpful for that, but I think a language would be more useful overall.

Taking Spanish would also be a lot easier for me. I know I would have a higher GPA and enjoy it more. Furthermore, I hope to minor in Spanish/focus on Mesoamerica. Humanities are my strong point, and I usually struggle with higher level math/science. If I pass the regents I would be able to skip an intro class for Spanish. Passing the AP would give me natural science credit. Most people in my school fail the AP, so no one really earns credit anyway.

I would be taking Spanish while also studying Italian. Ive already studied Italian for four years, and Im doing a dual credit course next year. Itll more or less be AP level Italian without the AP Italian test. The Spanish course Id be taking would be regents level/Spanish 101. I dont think studying Spanish will be that much of a stretch because both are romance languages. Our language department is also top notch, so Im not worried about academic support.

My current schedule for next year: AP Stats, AP Italian(ITA103), English 12, History(ECO101), AP Biology, Gym

TL;DR: Will taking two foreign languages look as good as an AP science? Im much more passionate about language, but I dont want a weak transcript!
