Two interviews from the same University!? Is it normal?

I’m an international student and have decided to apply to 15 colleges in the US for admissions during fall 2021.

Amongst those colleges are 8 that can offer alumni interviews as part of the application process. Five of these have already offered me interviews ( Columbia, Yale, Dartmouth, UPenn, and CMU); however, Yale offered me two interviews - I did one on February 25th, and I’m going to do the other one on March 10th. Is this normal? If so, what does it mean?

Call or email your point of contact at the school and ask. It’s likely a mistake.

Not normal. It could be an honest mistake because the two interviews seem to be originating from different programs. Either way best of luck in your interviews!

Yes, you were right; it was a mistake. The interviewer ended up explaining the situation and canceling the second interview.
