Two Named 2011 USC Salutatorians

<p>Mechanical engineering major, Craig Western, has been named as one of two USC 2011 Salutatorians. Craig will graduate with a 3.99 GPA. He was A USC Global Fellow and a key member of the USC Teamcore Research Group among many other achievements.</p>

<p>Craig is a 2011 Luce Scholar and will live in Taiwan next year.</p>

<p>A Renaissance Scholar, Samantha Ancona, will be the other 2011 USC Salutatorian. Samantha majored in oboe performance and biological sciences. She shared the Emma Bovard Award with Sarrah Shahawy. Samantha had a perfect 4.0 GPA and was a proud member of the Trojan Marching Band among many other activities and honors.</p>

<p>Samantha will do research next year in molecular biology and plans to earn a Ph.D in that
subject.</p>
