<p>I saw the earlier thread about the foreign language requirement, but when I recently check the on-catalog, foreign lang courses could be used to satisfy the humanities foundation reqirement, but there was free-standing foreign lang requirement . . . or did I mis-read the catalog.</p>
<p>Also, the campus appears to be pretty remote. Is a student stranded without a car? Is there anything within walking distance of the campus - - pharmacy? grocery? coffee shop?</p>

<p>My dd is at Knox and does not have a car. She gets rides from other kids and walks to the coffee shop. The campus is right in Galesburg. She has been there 3 years and it has yet to be a problem. The only time she wanted a car was when 2 of her friends were studying out at Green Oaks (the environmental campus 20 miles away) and even that worked out. I will have to ask my dd about the language requirement. She minored in Spanish so we never even thought about it. My daughter loves Knox and I'm sure yours will too. Good Luck!</p>
