I've written two college essays and have been trying since the summer to choose one.
Both are on the same topic, but neither is your average essay, and one is written in a very unorthodox format. Any help in choosing/editing would be greatly appreciated. Ive been told the shorter one is a little confusing.

Thanks.

OK. As a new member of CC, I've realized that I am going to have to entice you people and turn "views" into "replies". You want to read these. They are very, very personal and I have been told that the riskier one might make colleges think I'm crazy....of course, this is coming from my very conservative and highly unhelpful college counselor. My friends have cautioned me, and some teachers too. My last resort is to ask for honest opinions from strangers.

Lastly, the general topic of both essays has to do with a certain millenialist religious sect, their take on the end of the world, and how they have affected me and my family. Like I said, not your average essay.

Thanks.
