two essays- help! are they terrible or not?

<p>So I've written two essays, one is the "tell us more about yourself" type of essay, and the other is a response to u of chicago's quirky essay prompt. THe thing is, I keep wavering back and forth between thinking that they are absolutely retarded to thinking that they are pretty decent. They're pretty odd.</p>
