<p>I have applied to Tyler School of Art. I'm interested in painting. Does anyone have any information or experience with Tyler? I am also interested in MICA and Pratt.</p>
<p>I know that Tyler is moving onto the main campus of Temple which is supposed to be in a pretty bad neighborhood. Is security an issue on the campus?</p>
<p>Also, does Tyler have a good reputation for painting? How does it compare to MICA and Pratt?</p>

<p>Security is no issue whatsoever.</p>
<p>For painting, I've heard that MICA has a superior program. I'm glad they moved Tyler to the main Temple campus because it'll mean the program is far more integrated and offers students many more options. Security is an issue EVERYWHERE, anyone who thinks it isn't isn't paying attention. At the same time, it is no more of an issue at Temple than other urban campuses. Temple is remarkably diverse, exciting, and vibrant. Be smart and you'll be fine.</p>
