Typical pedagogy of a Bard class?

Hey everyone!

Hope all is well. I’m in the midst of writing a “Why Bard?” essay and wanted to confirm, and possibly learn, a few things about the pedagogical structure of classes at Bard. Are there tests? – or do classes typically only write essays? Do classes only use primary texts and sources – no textbooks – whenever possible? Are “lecture classes” common? I remember a seeing a few lecture halls in the science building when I visited.

P.s.: I was deferred EA so this essay isn’t due in a few hours – that would be a nightmare (lol).

Thanks for your time and stay cute~~

@LilSux - there are all styles of classes at Bard - the professors have a lot of freedom to construct the class in the way they see fit. Lecture classes do tend to be uncommon - discussion in class is very common - but that is not to say there are never lectures! Classes tend to be small but there will also be a few larger ones. Different disciplines will be taught in different ways. This is not a rigid nor dogmatic school.
