Typo in supplement

In my why JHU supplemental essay, I meant to type the following sentence in one of the paragraphs:

“It valued self-discovery, cultivated curiosity, and inspired those seeking clarity - individuals not very different from myself.”

Instead, I typed the following instead:

“It valued self-discovery, and cultivated curious and inspired those seeking clarity, individuals not very different from myself.”

The rest of my essay is fine, it’s just this one sentence that contains this rather noticeable typo. This was supposed to be quite an impactful line in my essay, should I contact JHU and send a correction? And how bad will this hurt my chances? :frowning:

Don’t worry about it; a typo is not going to hurt your chances (unless you mix up the school or something). It wouldn’t do Johns Hopkins any good to reject you because of a minor typo — if you do not end up getting in, it will not be because of the typo. You’re fine.

I would not worry about it- i m sure admissions officers have many many essays to read over limited amount of time. But if you misspelled Johns Hopkins as John Hopkins, John Hopkin, etc…that’s probably more worrisome. we take our name seriously here.

Can’t imagine they would pay any attention to it at all!
