Typographical errors make my day.

Due to someone (I am assuming they were in a hurry) rushing through the spellcheck function of an Electronic Health Record note today, a patient was described as having an "omnipotent" cervix.

While what they were trying to say is not a humorous condition, and the error was fixed by the time I tried to show a peer, it still made me smile a bit inwardly the rest of the day.

And it's a good lesson to not become dependent on technology.

On the quiz we took on Friday, a patient was described as having a history of “genial” herpes. I LOL’d.

i had a friend who did not spell check her essay because she was short on time. In it she discussed “pubic schools.”

kokeshi, spell check wouldn’t have found the error. The word was spelled correctly; it was just the wrong word!

OP: you must lead a dull life : )

It happens to the best of us eventually. Med school made me much less interesting.
