typos in essays!! freaking out

Hey guys I have a couple of typos in my essays. Like I wrote "my fatherhas" instead of "my father has" n that essay went to Yalescreams
How big a deal is it? Has it happened before or I am the most careless person in the world?

bumppp anyone??

This should make you feel better: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/470497-clam-fart-oh-my-god-what-did-i-do.html

haha I have already gone through that thread but still, I doubt whether the poster actually did such a thing. I do suspect that he might be a ■■■■■

It’s of course possible, but the poster strikes me as being genuine. In any case, there are tons of threads on CC in which applicants freaked out about typos and were told not to worry and given anecdotes. It’s not a big deal, it won’t be a deal breaker or anything imo. Anyone have anecdotes to share?

(I’m hoping so, anyway. I wrote “an singular” in my UPenn supplement … here’s to hoping)
