-There was an indentation error when i submitted one of my essays. Will that effect my chances?
-Besides for that my essays are flawless

I understand that it is difficult to be admitted out of state. Also are my SAT scores to low?

Please chance for RPI as well!

SD- high match
Irvine, SB - matches

Your SAT score is quite low for those schools as you may already know, but the good thing in your case is that public schools, such as the Cal system tend to put more weight on GPA than SAT/ACT. I live in Virginia and kids with 4.2/1900 at my school get into UVa regularly, but 3.8/2200+ kids have a much harder time, although they can still get into great private schools that are more holistic. If you can retake the SAT I highly advise you do so. If I remember, all of the UC schools don’t use super-score, or that may be just Berkeley. However if you can get all your scores to the mid 600s on your next attempt Santa Barbara should be a safety for you; SD and Irvine matches at worst. Your extracurriculars are solid, and I highly doubt an indentation error in your essay will harm your application. Anyone can fix the grammar and spelling in their essay but a good essay has content. Other than that I’d say the schools are high matches only because of your SAT score. Good luck!

Thanks for the insight!

The chances for UCs assume that you’re paying full freight.

UCSD: High match
UCI: Match
UCSB: Match
RPI: High match

Try the ACT if you can…

bump

chance me please

Bump…

Again
