U Miami HPM interviews

so pumped (tenchar)

anyone who already interviewed with miami...how did you feel about the interview? who was your interviewer?

i interviewed on the 16th.

i liked my interview experiece. the dr was very nice, the whole thing was awesome. they're so NICE, and act like they care and actually want you there, you know?

plus loved the things theyre doing with the med school. did your interviewer tell you about the new clinic at the catholic church?

i received a formal rejection letter from Miami HPM without interview.

collegelyfe4me- it seems we were both there together on the 27th and will also be meeting at the temple interview... lol were u there at miami towards the morning/early afternoon? lol were u there when we had all those convos about spanish and like with that kid who said he had never seen the shore...? lol if so- thatd be pretttty cool

haha jen no i wasnt there then.

who interviewed you? HOW nice was the secretary. she was so sweet!!!

lol, i was interviewed by jose martinez- yes that was actually his name lol and yes, mrs. agnes... she was really sweet and helpful :)

did the people who were interviewed get accepted by miami yet? i got my package 2 days ago. i think the committee for hpme was meeting this wk or next so we should get results soon!

yeah i got my miami acceptance.

at first, i almost freaked out because it said something about being accepted into the premedical program of the college...and then i realized that they just meant i can be a normal pre-med. it was so excited for half a second.

they're only accepting at most 33 students, btw.

eh. that means a 1/3 chance we get it i guess...

dudes i heard that results were decided tuesday.

has anyone received a decision for this program yet?

no ten char

i got in and found out on april 11. does anyone know how difficult it is to maintain the mandatory 3.7 GPA throughout undergrad?

its harder than it sounds. its extremely doable. its not the 3.7 overall that tough, its the 3.7 science only which is difficult to maintain.

coincolectr, do you know of anyone who has not made the 3.7, or at the very least the 3.5?

i think if u dont make the 3.7 for the 3yrs at miami, then u extend to 4th year, and maintain 3.5 before promote to school of medicine. If u dont, then the student is out of the program.

PM me if you want to discuss any details. Thanks.
