<p>Interesting advertising tactic and, um, very very different from the pretty stoic "life of the mind" mailings I got back in the day.</p>
<p>Personally, I like the new style - I don't think it's a bad move to say that "4 of the best years of your life" happen in college - including at UChicago. Also, I think demanding academic course loads and very happy students are NOT mutually exclusive.</p>
<p>Well I like it. The playful tone suggests that the university’s quirkiness extends to more than just intellectual topics, and the overall humor falls in line with that of the e-mails and letters that I received.</p>
<p>Yes, it is, and a successful one too! Quite a few of my friends first heard about UChicago after receiving the caffeine postcard (granted, this was before the mailing blitz that started around my senior year).</p>
