I am having a dilemma, can't choose between University of Rochester and Boston U. I am going to be a chemistry major. U of R is slightly more expensive than BU for me. I think overall, U of R offers a better education and more opportunities. But the things i don't like are the cold weather and the suburban setting. I am from NYC, so I am more of a city person. I love the city of Boston and think that I'll get a better college experience there and meet more people. Is BU a step down from U of R in terms of education? Which one should I choose?

if its a couple thousand dollars in difference, id choose bu, just because you like it better and its not worth the debt. if youre going to be a lot happier in a city environment, wanting to get in on the party scene, then definitely boston. from what ive read and heard about, the rochester kids are the chill nerdy type, but not party crazy. theyre friendly and cool alright, but if your college experience includes partying, dont do ur.
education wise, i cant really give much of an opinion since i dont know much about bu, but ur will definitely give a lot of research opportunity. their faculty has some of the most notable, experienced professors that i’ve ever seen, or at least caught my attention. i think rochester tops boston ranking wise, if you are interested in those stats.
and curriculum wise, rochester is pretty much open curriculum, so if you dont want to be as limited with your major, or structured with the requirements, it would be the better option

i did a lot of research. BU appeals to me more in terms of the environment.
Do you or does anybody know which of the two offers more internships/jobs?
